It's my first break from college. Kind of...I don't really count Labor Day as a break. I was ready for a break. Breaks keep me from getting burnt out too quickly. Mom made me work today, and I have to work tomorrow. I would like to head home a little early tomorrow so I'm not exhausted Wednesday morning. I should really start going to Sociology more often. That would be the smart thing to do.

It's unbelievable that I've been in college for over a month now. I'm so happy and things are going really, really well. Classes are great, the people are nice, and living on my own isn't that bad.
Last weekend I went to my first party. I never realized how shy I really am until now. I was the only girl not all up dancing on every guy in the room. I was stunned at how the girls are all over Adam - out of all the hotties there, they went for Adam. Unreal. I realized something else too. Normally I get my way, and get what I want - unless it's a guy. I mean come on, Adam can get a girlfriend but I can't get a boyfriend. Personally I think I'm way cooler than Adam. Definitely more fun to be around. Whatever. Things will eventually work out for me - - hopefully.

Mindy, DeAnn and I left Indy around noon on Monday so that put us in Dayton sometime after 3:30pm. We checked into our hotel and did the normal "girl stuff"-- changed clothes, helped eachother with makeup and hair, etc. We got to Borders a bit early so we bought Jeff's CD and then had something to drink in the cafe. Even though Jeff didn't appear until 7pm, some other people started showing up about 5:30-6:00, so we decided to claim a spot up front. At 7, Jeff finally came out and we are the first 3 people he sees -- his eyes just got big and he walked up to us and hugged us...and gave us a kiss on the cheek -- then walked to the stage. It was great seeing all the other girls try and figure out who the hell we were. Poor Jeff...had to set up his own sound equipment and couldn't get it working properly, plus he announced that he had larengitus, so he only sang one song. We finally got to speak to him during the autograph session and he's like "Hey dolls, it's so good to see you!" Totally remembered us -- of course! We knew we'd be seeing him the next night, so we went ahead and left the bookstore. The 3 of us went to the store and picked Jeff up a few things like chicken soup, cough drops, throat tea -- stuff like that. For dinner we decided to hit TGI Fridays. We are sitting there waiting for our food when who walks by to go to the bathroom...Jeff! He runs to the bathroom and on his way back he comes up behind me and starts rubbing my back in a circular motion -- yes I about died. He talks to us for a few minutes and finally I ask him if we could take him to dinner the next night. He told us he already had plans with 2 of his friends that are getting married, but if those fell through he'd love to hang out with us. Haha we were praying for his plans to fall through! Basically after that, we hit the sack a little early.
We checked out of the hotel at 11am checkout and headed to Columbus. Wasn't too far -- we got there right before 2pm. We had a quick lunch and took showers and all that jazz at our new hotel. We wanted to give Jeff the stuff we bought him before we went into the Borders so we waited for him to arrive in the parking lot. Him and his friend Brian (who is so awesome, one of Jeff's friends) saw us and got out of their car to talk. It took Brian a minute but he finally remembered DeAnn and I from Louisville 2 years ago. Jeff was so excited when we gave him the stuff. He tore into the tea right away. He's all telling Brian how we are some of their biggest fans and "we're the best" and "we're the shit". It was so funny. Then Jeff gave us all huge hugs and kissed us again. It was an awesome moment. We went into the store with Jeff and Brian and hung out while they were checking the sound and of course we told Jeff that despite what he thought he sounded great. Some annoying ass girls showed up in Columbus, but I don't feel like getting into that - it's not important. BUT...we were thrilled when Tommy (bodyguard we're totally cool with) showed up with Justin Jeffre with him. It was way cool. Jeff didn't feel good, so he still only sang one song. We went over and talked to Justin for about 20 minutes and he of course knew who we were too. Good times, good times.
After having such a blast in Columbus, we decided we didn't want to go home, so we decided to drive up to the Canton appearance as well. Now that is one long ass drive. Brian came up to us in the parking lot of the Borders and asked us how we were doing today and had some small talk with him. Inside we grabbed a table in the cafe near the stage setup. David (Jeff's other friend that we met when we met Brian) was there and we chatted with him and he hugged us. He's such a cutie, I like him a lot, but I'm wondering if he's as old as Jeff. The crowd in Canton was so cool because it was three times the crowds of Dayton and Columbus - plus it was Jeff's old teachers and what not. Tears filled my eyes when Jeff sang "The Hardest Thing", not because I'm a freak, but just because he had just been so good to us. On this night we got stuck at the back of the line and had to wait about 2 hours to get anywhere near Jeff. Brian came and talked with us a few times so that made things a bit better. When we reached Jeff he got real mushy on us haha. He told us that he was going to miss us and he kept thanking us for supporting him this week. He's really such a great guy. What was hillarious is that Jeff can spell my name correctly -- B-R-I-T-N-Y. I was so proud of him haha! He wrote on my CD "Britny, you are very special, Love Jeff. After I finished a few of Jeff's friends that we hadn't met yet started talking to me and introducing themselves to me. So now we're cool with all his friends. Leaving was kind of sad because we'd had such a blast and had a 6 hour drive back home. Mindy had to be in meetings Thursday morning so we had to drive straight back. Reached home at 3am and I was exhausted. I fell asleep as soon as I hit the pillow. But, being tired was a small price to pay because we had the most incredible time!

There's tons of stuff I never put in here. I haven't written all summer - I figured it's about time.
I finally graduated. The ceremony was real nice and for one night the focus was on me - it felt really really good.
My parents gave in and let me go to Los Angeles with DeAnn. I love it there. I had an absolute blast - even though I was there for 2 days. Hollywood is so much fun. Can't wait to go back.
I GOT A CAR! Woo Hoo! It's about damn time. I swear I was the only 18 year old in Avon without one. I bought a 1999 dark green Plymouth Breeze. I love it - it's my car!
Orientation at Ball State was kinda shitty. It was about 90 degrees outside and they had us running all over campus. But, I got through it alright and even found an apartment before I left. I moved into a studio apartment last week up in Muncie - it's about 1/2 mile from campus. It's the cutest! It's going to be home for awhile. I'm not real nervous about starting school, but I figure the night before I'll be a wreck. I really think I'll be ok though.
After working almost everyday I finally know for 100% sure that I have all days off this week. I'm way excited. Mindy, DeAnn and me are going to Dayton to see Jeff! Haven't seen him in almost 2 years, so it'll be a blast. Then we're heading to Columbus to see him again - just for the hell of it! I miss our little roadtrips so I'm really looking forward to this.
